10-Week Class – Ages 11-15 Years Old
Mondays: October 4 – December 6
6:40pm – 7:40pm PST

This class is Acting 101, the basis for all acting mediums. This will be similar to an on camera acting class and will benefit the commercial and film students as well as the theatre students. Students will learn characterization, scene study, scene analysis, how to use their speaking voice and more! We will use Stanislavsky, Rodenburg, Adler, Meisner, Chekhov, Suzuki, Viewpoints and Brecht techniques for acting. Students will leave class with an understanding of the basic techniques for acting and characterization as well as a greater idea of how to look at a scene and how to relate to the other characters in the script. We will work on bringing emotion to the face, isolating parts of the face, pacing, lighting and sound for a well rounded experience. Class size is small to allow specific instruction and coaching to each individuals level.
