Voice 1 focuses on being exposed to the steps for successful singing technique, as well as common music terms, concepts, and vocabulary to prepare students to contribute to an ensemble at a higher level. Students will also have the opportunity to create Virtual Story Songs. These are guided short songs that the students will create that promotes creative freedom and comfort in their voice in a fun and engaging way! In addition, students will learn the basic techniques of breathing, vocal projection and ear training and the use of those skills in Musical Theatre repertoire. Students will also complete song analysis to incorporate acting and music skills in solo and ensemble presentations. Vocal classes transcend to online very easily. Various games and tools are added to ensure learning, fun and engagement in the virtual setting.
